Housing Programs

Minden Housing Community (MHC) provides housing assistance for families, elderly, and disabled individuals through a variety of programs including Public Housing and Housing Choice Vouchers (HCVs), previously known as Section 8. 

Public Housing and HCV (Section 8) are two different HUD funding programs.

For the Public Housing Program, applicants will be placed in a unit that is located on the MHC property, known as the "Projects".
For the HCV (Section 8) Program, applicants will receive a voucher, and the applicant will search for housing that accepts the voucher.
